Tuning Frontiers of Efficiency in Tissue P Systems with Evolutional Communication Rules

چکیده
Over the last few years, a new methodology to address P versus NP problem has been developed, based on searching for borderlines between nonefficiency of computing models (only problems in class can be solved polynomial time) and presumed efficiency (ability solve NP-complete time). These seen as frontiers efficiency, which are crucial this methodology. “Translating,” some sense, an efficient solution presumably model nonefficient would give affirmative answer NP. In framework Membrane Computing, key approach is detect syntactic or semantic ingredients that needed pass from membrane systems one. This paper deals with tissue communication rules type symport/antiport allowing evolution objects triggering rules. previous works, were found these kinds both division separation However, since they not optimal, it interesting refine frontiers. work, optimal obtained terms total number involved used kind systems. optimizations could easier translate, if possible, solutions model.

P Systems with Adjoining Controlled Communication Rules
This paper proposes a new model of P systems where the rules are activated by objects present in the neighboring regions. We obtain the computational completeness considering only two membranes, external inhibitors and carriers. Leaving the carriers apart we obtain equality with ET0L systems in terms of number sets.

In this note, we consider the problem of looking for small universal one-symbol tissue P systems with symport/antiport rules. It is proved that six cells suffice to generate any recursively enumerable set of natural numbers by such a onesymbol tissue P system with symport/antiport rules, under the restriction that only one channel is allowed between two cells or between a cell and the environme...
متن کاملTissue P Systems with Parallel Rules on Channels
We introduce a new variant of P systems as an improvement of the original design. The P systems here allow parallelism in rules application on synapses (or links, channels), rendering the systems more efficient. We describe the execution mechanism of our P systems, make analysis on its computation power, and illustrate the running by an example.
متن کاملP Systems with Boundary Rules
We propose a new variant of P Systems, based on boundary rules, shortly called PB Systems. Boundary rules means that rules are not internal to regions but they are able to “see” even externally, that is, they are sensible to what happens around the border of the membranes. We prove the computational universality for PB systems with three membranes which sense at most one symbol outside and one ...
